  • So anyone who knows me for any length of time, eventually hears me grouse about the incredible food waste I see occurring every October. This is an incredible pet peave of mine that I’ve had for many years, and it gets my goat every single fall season! The pumpkin everyone loves to carve up, smash and either throw to the chickens or toss in the garbage, is food for us humans as well, in a great many ways.

However, after today’s efforts pulling together research papers for the modern day entry on the pumpkin, I’ve now been educated that even the flower and peel of the pumpkin, as well as those stringy bits holding the seeds, have nutritional and phytochemical benefit to the human body.

So today I am attaching the rough draft of the pumpkin entry, complete with the opening for the Historically Modern Materia Medica, and the Bibliography attached in full, because some of the footnoted numbers go all the way back to early pages of that document.

  • This is beyond frightening.

Nicholas Hulscher: “USDA silently approves Experimental Self-Amplifying mRNA for animals. Veterinarians are actively administering Merck’s Nobivac NXT for rabies, flu & FLV…that likely shed onto humans across the country”

  • Here’s an updated snapshot of what’s happening with Worldcoin (WLD) — including real news, project plans, and what might matter for its future. The coverage below is based on recent reports through January 2026.
What Worldcoin Is Aiming to Build
Worldcoin (now part of the World Network ecosystem) is more than just a cryptocurrency — it’s a digital identity & financial network:
Built by Tools for Humanity — co-founded by Sam Altman (CEO of OpenAI), Max Novendstern, and Alex Blania.
Core idea: verify real humans with biometric iris scans (“Orbs”) and issue a unique World ID. Verified people may earn WLD and use it within the ecosystem.
Goal: a massive global identity layer + financial network that could support social, payment, governance, and “proof-of-personhood” applications.

  • in answer to yesterday's article, I went looking for something to make for myself. Two questions came to mind: Could one make chickpea hummus with carrots, and can one blend cheese into hummus?

Various people do include carrots in their hummus. I then found a recipe for a cottage cheese hummus, and figured I could swap in my cheese sauce instead. While digging these up, I found another way to prepare dry chickpeas that doesn't involve soaking all night.

I enjoyed my first meal with the dip, and then went to my database. As noted in yesterday's article, vitamin's A,C, and E have been noted to help with anti-inflammatory action in the lungs. Both A and E are fat soluble, and that is provided in my dip with the cheese sauce made from heavy cream.

Parsley is in the list of foods containing beneficial compounds for lung health and healing, boasting 9 of the 29 compounds that bring down inflammation and help restore function, Onions contain both cysteine and quercetin, both found by researchers to be beneficial in the quest for better lung health.

Strategic eating for the win! Imagine being able to enjoy your food and benefit from it at the same time?! Strategic eating can benefit you as well. Reach out if you'd like to learn how food can be medicine in your home.

  • Many reach their older years and begin slowing down, often by choice because, that's what you do when you get older, right??? Not if farmers I know, horse owners I know, and others who remain very active into their older years have anything to say on the matter. The notion that after a certain milestone, it's time to slow down, is a bunch of crock that is damaging and shortening many lives.

My focus is wholefood as medicine that might grow outside your front door, but guess what? Going out to get that wild-grown food takes time, effort, and action to do. But again, you're getting fresher air than staying indoors, getting exercise, benefiting from getting your hands dirty (literally, just ask any dedicated gardener about their overall health) and you're getting free food and medicine that lowers your older years' expenses that mainstream medicine might try to thrust on you! Maybe you're a brown thumb like me and can't garden because you kill everything. But you can harvest what God grows out there and eat better than visiting the produce section at the store AND stay out of the pharmacy at the same time. Your physical and financial health both benefit here.

  • B.C.’s former chief coroner says province’s drug policies should be “more woke”!

On International Human Rights Day, B.C.’s Human Rights Commissioner hosted a virtual panel urging a shift to a so-called “human rights-based approach” to the province’s drug overdose crisis, featuring former chief coroner Lisa Lapointe, who said the province’s policies need to be “more woke.”

The December 10 Zoom event, organized by the B.C. Office of the Human Rights Commissioner and titled “Beyond the Headlines: B.C.’s Toxic Drug Crisis, a human rights conversation,” opened with several land acknowledgments and emphasized the crisis as not only a public health emergency but also a “violation of human rights.”
