It appears I am not the only one that doesn't think very highly of trending dietary fads. The peer pressure seems to be among those choosing gluten-free as the wise, gut-healthy option, making others around them feel less-than if they don't make similar choices. But the other half of the gluten-free push, has been the discovery that farmers spray their crops with glyphosate. This has caused many to avoid gluten like the plague, because they mistakenly blame the gluten instead of the glyphosate. Mercola released an article today that is aimed squarely at parents, but anyone of any age and stage can make use of this information. His article is talking about the health risks that parents inflict on their children when they choose gluten-free without a firm diagnosis. Mercola gives suggestions for how to eat that strengthen the gut, allay fears, and perhaps even allow the gut to handle wheat gluten in time.
