On Tuesday night we attended a packed house meeting that talked about New CFIA Livestock Traceability Rules 2026 Implementation & Regulations. Thank you Darcy and Ross for the information to attend the meeting. They had some very powerful speakers like Jason Smith. Jason Smith had to put down his 500 + deer and cut the heads off for testing. CFIA came back with all negative results and had the nerve to tell him "At Least We Know Now!" Just another entire herd killed for nothing. Canada's public health agency is waging war against meat, but in the broader focus, against protein in general. Health Canada has been targetting chicken farms in the Lower Mainland of BC, and turkey farms out in Ontario, killing what one article called "millions of birds" out there! This of course will drive up the cost of poultry and eggs. Health Canada has also set their sites on the beef industry in Canada, and recently declared a recall on one of the currently most-affordable options to get beef back into low-income diets, No Name Beef Patties in their trademark yellow box with black lettering. The concern this time, is potential E.Coli poisoning, although they state in the article that no one has fallen ill yet, but that testing may expand the recall to a wider range of products! Maybe its my lack of trust in the mainstream establishment, but this all sounds contrived, and very much agenda-driven. Many reach their older years and begin slowing down, often by choice because, that's what you do when you get older, right??? Not if farmers I know, horse owners I know, and others who remain very active into their older years have anything to say on the matter. The notion that after a certain milestone, it's time to slow down, is a bunch of crock that is damaging and shortening many lives. My focus is wholefood as medicine that might grow outside your front door, but guess what? Going out to get that wild-grown food takes time, effort, and action to do. But again, you're getting fresher air than staying indoors, getting exercise, benefiting from getting your hands dirty (literally, just ask any dedicated gardener about their overall health) and you're getting free food and medicine that lowers your older years' expenses that mainstream medicine might try to thrust on you! Maybe you're a brown thumb like me and can't garden because you kill everything. But you can harvest what God grows out there and eat better than visiting the produce section at the store AND stay out of the pharmacy at the same time.
